Sistan Gas Pipeline project
The fuel of four main plants of Sistan and Baluchistan province is currently supplied by liquid petroleum products (diesel fuel and mazut). Regarding the triple price of these product in compare to gas, that natural gas as the fuel for this power plants seems a better choice. Besides, selling this product to foreign customers can be a significant income for the country which the economic definition of this project is based on.
In the current situation, the average cost of the plants’ fuel based on their consumption capacity and the liquid fuels price is 2 billion dollars. Therefore, the investment is equivalent to the one-year breakeven point of the full-time operation which is a very economic deal for this type of projects.

Iran’s Gas Engineering and Development Company as employer, Kayson, oil, gas and Keyson Energy companies as executives and Theta-Energy as the financing consultant are cooperating.
